Mining Crusher

Thousands of years ago, human beings started constructing buildings, villages, and cities and expanding their empire on the earth. But in 2020, still, we are relying on minerals we extracted from quarry and mines all over the world. In this way, engineers try to find a cost-effective solution to process the minerals fast and create construction material more durable and reliable. The story began right at the quarry when we extract the materials from the earth. We need to size them to create a high-quality aggregate. The first step is to put them in the crusher to have a proper size stone. But what is the crusher, how does it work and what is the rolling bearing rolls on this equipment.

There are three types of crushers used by quarry all over the world that we are going to talk about them in brief:

Jaw Crusher:

A Jaw Crusher is one of the main types of primary crushers in a Quarry. The size of a jaw crusher is designated by the rectangular or square opening at the top of the jaws (feed opening). A Jaw Crusher reduces large size rocks by placing the stone into compression to brakes materials in a crushing chamber. Cone Crusher:

Cone crushers are a type of compression crusher used by aggregate, coal, concrete, crushing, fracking sand, and mining industries. This type of crusher usually uses a Tapered roller bearing that design, especially for carrying high loads and accepts high vibration. Tapered Roller bearings can handle axial and radial loads at the same time.

Impact Crusher

The Aggregate Industry (Cement, Ready-Mix Concrete, Asphalt, Crushed Stone, Sand & Gravel), wants to process rock, sand, and gravel into a salable product as efficiently and inexpensively as possible. Impact crushers use the impact of crusher material, not squeeze pressure. Impact Crushers can use as primary or secondary in quarry application. Impact crusher usually uses heavy duty spherical roller bearings to handle high loads and vibration and at the same time can accept Misalignment on the shaft.

In general, Crusher roller bearings need High-Grade case hardening steel to accept extreme vibrations. After choosing the right steel, engineers should use advanced software to design and develop the right Geometry on the bearing to distribute the load between rolling elements.
